Founded in 1996, East Branch Friends of the Arts (EBFA) supports and promotes visual, performing, and literary arts; expands opportunities for involvement in arts events; and develops and showcases the town's rich musical, artistic, and literary heritage. Even if you are not a member, there is a good chance you have attended an East Branch Friends of the Arts event. EBFA has about 200 members and sponsors numerous arts-related events throughout the year. EBFA hosts a variety of musical performances, including vocalists, pianists, and string players, as well as regular concerts by the Meadowmount School of Music. They have hosted a documentary film series, a poetry discussion series, play readings, and the Photosho. Most recently they have held cuisine demonstrations, garden tours, and even a kite-flying festival. They continually explore new opportunities. East Branch Friends of the Arts welcomes new members and volunteers -- anyone who has the ideas, time, and talent to help produce new, interesting, and exciting events for people of all ages. EBFA raises funds primarily through inexpensive memberships and contributions. For information about upcoming events, please visit their web site. |
