Welcome to the Bicentennial Edition of the Guide to Giving and Volunteering in Greater Keene. This website profiles all of the non-profits, charities and community service organizations in "Greater Keene".  It is based on the booklet "Guide to Giving and Volunteering in Greater Keene" that was originally published in July 2004 and updated in 2008, which is Keene's bicentennial.

This guide celebrates the long generous history of Keene's philanthropic and volunteer efforts.  The wide variety of organizations attests to tremendous community spirit that makes this such a great place to live and raise a family.  It is only through the generous giving of both money and time that these organizations can thrive and enrich the town.

The list of profiles on the left are active links and will take you to a profile with one click.  Each profile has active links to web sites and email for the organization.  The upper right hand corner of this page contains links to other sections of the website. New in this Town Bicentennial Edition is a section on Keene's History of Giving and Volunteering. There you will find a whole new section about non-profits and charities in the surrounding area (click on "Other Links about the Area").  These are divided into Sports, Arts & Culture, Schools, Museums & History.  These are rich volunteering and giving opportunities, so take a look.

We’ve also including a FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions section that covers most of the questions we’ve been asked since the booklet appeared.  In the section called “About our Town” there are links to the minutes of Town Board meetings, contact information for Town Offices, the community calendar, and the public notices shown on KVVI Channel 6.

Please use this website as a resource for connecting to, and becoming involved in, important organizations in the community.  Also use it when considering making contributions that improve the quality of life in our community.  You can step from profile to profile by using links at the bottom of each page.  You can get started by using this link below.
